Please go to the appropriate section and read carefully as if your entries do not comply with the rules they may be rejected from the competitions. If you need any assistance please ask one of the committee, or a more experienced member of the club.
General (applies to all internal competitions),
- Members can enter up to 3 prints or digital images into each internal club competition.
- If the number of images entered for a competition is very high, it may be necessary to restrict the overall numbers in order to keep it manageable. If this is the case then all members who have entered 3 images will have the third one left out of the competition. All entries (digital and print) should therefore be numbered in order of preference 1, 2 and 3. Should it be necessary to reduce the number of entries, the print / digital image numbered 3 will not be entered into the competition.
Any image which has come in the top three of an internal club competition cannot be entered in any other internal competition (it can be entered in external competitions).
As a member of the club, at the beginning of the year you will need to decide whether you are going to submit images into the Class A or Class B. You cannot move between classes during the year and you cannot enter images into both classes.
Class A - For more advanced photographers - maximum print size A3.
Class B - For beginners and intermediate photographers - maximum print size A4.
At the end of the season, the top three winners in the B class will have to move up to the A class. The bottom three in A can choose to move down into B if they wish.
In a change to the previous arrangements, for the 2010/11 season Print and Digital competitions will be held on separate evenings and will both include an A and B class.
All prints to be mounted on board 500mm x 400mm. Note - the club purchases boards in bulk and members can buy these for £1 per board (please contact David Chedgy).
